Kidzania Dubai
Kidzania is a child-friendly, indoor city, filled with a vast range of immersive activities. Visitors have the opportunity to experience adult life through a range of jobs within their own respective buildings. From firefighter to banker, barrista or undercover spy, kids learn about different exciting career opportunities through fun and skill building activities which give an insight into the adult world.
The design team on this job was tasked with developing the outer shop-front façades for each of the buildings. The client was eager to give each building its own identity, so it was important to incorporate a range of materials, finishes and graphics to compliment the design of each façade, giving them an individual personality. My own involvement in the project included working on The Independence Fountain, The Bank Vault, The Expo Stadium, Fire Escapes and various other items such as the traffic lights and large trees.
Kidzania Abu Dhabi has been another success for the international franchise, gaining attention for its unique approach to learning and play.
