Mini Brum

Part of the Thinktank museum in Birmingham, MiniBrum is a gallery for children to explore, styled as a toy box version of the city of Birmingham with recognisable landmarks such as The Selfridges Building and Old Joe the clocktower from Birmingham University. The gallery has many different interactive elements with a focus on accessibility and STEM learning.

I was involved with several different exhibits in this gallery including the Seasonal Trees park area, Canal Boat Living, The Construction Area Dressing Up Hut and The Selfridges Building inspired Beauty Salon. The challenges on this project varied from concept designing exhibits to be fun and engaging for a younger audience (including integration of interactive elements) as well as joinery construction design and ensuring ease of assembly on site.

MiniBrum has been met with vast praise, being commended for its engaging content and novel take on the city of Birmingham.
